The Fair of Loveliness of Simple Elegance in the Kitchen

Lives_of_loveliness_logo_2006_1 Welcome and Bienvenue to our first ever Fair of Loveliness of Simple Elegance in the Kitchen!!  I am honored to be the chosen (ahem, volunteered) blog to host this momentus occaision and I do hope you'll grab yourself a cuppa something depending on your time zone and beverage preference and spend some time learning about what makes our lives more lovely and our kitchens more elegant and simple

I truly believe that no matter what size home you have, what type of appliances in the kitchen, or the age and style of your home, everyone can have a little slice of elegant simplicity where the heart of our lives resound, the Kitchen!

May God and His Blessed Mother bless your kitchens and your homes and make them truly peaceful and welcoming to all, and thanks so much for visiting our Fair of Loveliness of Elegant Simplicity in the Kitchen today!

Elizabeth at Real Learning got a jolting idea to work on her elegantly simple kitchen this past week, thankfully only her computer was hit and she has since recovered it and all is well!  She is a model of loveliness for us all!

Cheryl calls this the "Story of My Kitchen" post, it's an enchanting tale, and will be the envy of all who are pining for a brand NEW kitchen (and house!)  Read and dream at My Thoughful Spot!  She has certainly captured simple elegance beautifully for us all to see!

Michele at Family-Centered has this to say about her kitchen, and it's all about greeting friends with hospitality and wanting to convey that little and big people are loved and cared for there whether it's clean or messy!  I'd love to visit with her there too!

Amy at Among Women loves how her kitchen reflects "how my kitchen may not be pretty, but it is beautiful, because all the good memories are there..."  read all about hers!  I am certain there are lots of kisses and hugs going on with all those beautiful little ladies in her kitchen!! Simply lovely!

Let's leave it to Dawn at By Sun and Candlelight to put together a series of posts on simple elegance in the kitchen, way to go Dawn, you are an inpspriration to us all my dear!!  Read all her lovely thoughts here, here, here, and here!!  Bravo, they are wonderfully written and truly convey her simple elegance at hand!

Cay has invited us all into her Cajun Cottage "Lair" with poetry to boot, and a tour of her kitchen and it's essentials, simply elegant 'tis true.  OOh, can we have the recipe for the cinnamon buns, they are simple elegance at it's best!! Maybe she'll submit them to Donna Maries Carnival of Yum coming soon!!

Learn about why A Spotless Kitchen makes Jenn at Family Feast and Feria Giddy!!  Your mouth will be watering when you see how simply elegant a basket of beautiful ripe, red and rosy her home grown tomatoes can be!  Truly Spotless and Lovely!

Let me be the first to welcome Sarah to the blogshpere as she debuts her beautiful Plainsong blog with her first few posts about her elegntly simple kitchen.  She shows us how easy it is to use china with little ones even for every day!  We're so happy to have you on the blogroll Sarah and you are brave to jump right in with our Fairs of Loveliness!!  You are lovely indeed!

Rachel of Classically Speaking will warm your heart with her beautifully simple and elegant kitchen.  Read her thoughts here!  She shares how white can truly brighten up any room and make it cheery and inviting!  There's even a place for shoes and her handbag!

Here are some lovely photos of Tina P's Kitchen and she says,  "It took me forever to find the kitchen semi-clean between breakfast, snack time, lunch, science experiments, dinner ... you know the drill.  You can see in the picture I have a tub of I-don't-know-what-to-do-with-this-yet stuff and two kids snacking.  My motto this year will be "A Clean Kitchen is a Happy Kitchen." Amen sister!!  Thanks for sharing them with us, it shows that it doesn't take much to make our kitchens simply elegant, even with snackers :)  And we can ALL relate to the I-don't-know-what-to-do-with-this-yet stuff!!  UPDATED, Please go back and read her beautiful description of her simply elegant kitchen, sorry Tina, I missed the attachment ;)

Not to be missed is the famous Marihalojen and her sail blog!  She gives us a sneak peak into her Galley kitchen and the difference between cooking on land (or in her case the dock) and out on the great blue!  It can be very simple and elegant while at sea, thanks so much for a peek, lovely!

Kathy at Chezoui has found out that one kitchen that works for one family may not work for another, specifically hers!  Find out how her 1950's kitchen was re-born and is gloroius now with her special and simply elegant touches!  Thanks for sharing it with us!

And last but not least here is a look at simple elegance from Sweetness in the Kitchen that I've added to the Fair.  I have truly enjoyed putting this together and am honored to be the vehicle to transport all your lovely thoughts on how you make your kitchens simply elegant!

UPDATE:  A last minute entry from Erin down in Aussieland!!  Don't miss her beautiful photo's and her simply elegant kitchen.  Thanks so much for sharing them Erin!!

I hope you have enjoyed your visit here and please join us for our NEXT Fair of Living Lives of Loveliness in the Learning Space.  It will be Monday August 28th and hosted by the ever lovely:  Helen at Castle of the Immaculate, and please visit Real Learning for the complete listing of Fairs that will be upcoming and are in need hostesses!!
