We have come to the end of our totally fun and engaging Tiger Unit Study and I helped Seamus put the finishing touches on his very first lapbook!! He was thrilled to see all his "work" come together and has enjoyed showing his special book to everyone who will look at it with him!! He thought of how he wanted to display all his hard work and for a four year old, I thought he did a fine job! Enjoy!
Here is the cover of the lapbook, a standard size file folder that we glued black construction paper that Seamus painted with tiger stripes.
The circle book on the front cover has our title question attached and when turned it reveals the answer. When the circle book is turned it reveals other animals Seamus picked that also have stripes that help to camoflauge them in their natural habitats.
When the lapbook is opened fully, it reveals the Big Cats matching game! This was alot of fun and Seamus has got his big cats down pat! He cut out and glued each cat and it's match on the designated card for me to tape into the book, he was very patient!
This is the back cover of the lapbook and again we covered it with the tiger striped construction paper. These are his favorite tiger pictures from our study, if you can see on the middle tiger he chose to give him orange socks rather than color the whole tiger in. The bottom one was chosen for its fierceness!
This is underneath the back cover flap, we couldn't resist this big guy, what a beautiful picture and so close!
This is on the lifted flap and Seamus really liked to have me read the "Facts" to him so he can tell me about them afterwards, hmm, narration in the making!
I hope you enjoyed our tour of Tigers through the Preschool Corner, we sure had fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Very nice Meredith. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
