In keeping with our theme of Mondays with Mary, we've decided to work on Growing in the Gospels and thought Friday would be an appropriate day to look ahead to the weekend's readings! I love how Dawn at By Sun and Candlelight has been leading her brood through the Magnifikid activities in preparation for the Sunday Gospel and I wanted to incorporate this into our week as well! I think Lissa also likes to use the Magnifikid with her family, and I'm sure their are many others, so we'll be giving it a try tomorrow!!
I also really liked how Dawn followed up the Gospel reflections with a family craft activity. Talk about a great way to cement the faith and the beautiful Liturgical Year for her dear children, she never ceases to amaze me!!
Our basic plan is to "pre-read" the Sunday Gospel reading, and talk about how it fits into the current Church calendar.
Make a plan of action as to how we'll live out the Gospel in the coming week
Follow-up with some of the great activities and crafts together as a family learning about and living out the Liturgical year!

This is a great idea. I am hearing so many good things about Magnifikid that I have ordered a subscription - I'm just waiting for it to arrive!
