Michele Q tagged me, here we go!
Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.
The closest book to me was An Old Fashioned Girl by Louisa May Alcott. Violet has read this one already and now it's my turn! Page 123, 5th sentence:
"Besides, mother says they can't possibly do without me. Neither can we. Can't you tease your mother, and make up your mind to stay?" began Fan. "Polly never teases. She says it's selfish; and I don't do it now much," put in Maud, with a virtuous air."
Well, I haven't gotten to this part yet, but from what Violet has told me about the book, I can't wait to get there and to the end! We've got quite a Louisa May Alott line-up for ourselves right now. Nest in her queue is Little Men, and then Rose in Bloom. We're having a dickens of a time finding Jo's Boys at the library, but that is such a good one, we'll probably end up buying the whole lot of eight in the Orchard House Editions. She's also got Trudel's Seige to read too, busy busy here :)
Okay, who hasn't done this yet??? You're TAGGED if you haven't, have fun and happy reading!

Meredith,
This is a really fun meme. I did one the other day at my blog.
I seem to always be reading more then one book at a time. One of the books that I am reading is Little Men. I love Louisa May Alcott.
I do have An Old Fashioned Girl also that I started to read ( I have habit of starting and not finishing- something I'm working on in 2008) but I can's seem to locate it. I guess it is meant for another time...

I LOVE An Old Fashioned Girl. I have a very old copy that my Grandmother gave me when I was a little girl.
It is such a wonderful book! Wasn't this a fun meme? I hope you don't mind, but I tagged you for another :)
