As the New Year settles in, many of us are thinking about how to structure our lives and our days for 2008. Will THIS be the year we win the lottery???
At the risk of sounding flippant, I doubt it, but what I DO know is that our year in 2007 was nothing like we had imagined, in so many ways and on so many levels! So what does this new anno have in store for us, for me, for my sweet children? First I can focus on the concrete:
- We will continue to home educate in the same fashion we did this past year (and love it)
- Everyone will have a birthday, woohoo!!
- We will be moving again, just not sure when and where....
- I will publish my first book....gasp...did I read that right??? YES you did!!
So on to this new year, new beinnings, new thoughts (although I may be blogging less and less to do the last item listed above) new recipes to try, new books to read, new discussions to share with my dear ones. Where will all this lead? Who knows, but it will be fun, challenging and exciting and worth all of it!
I've decided to join GoodReads to keep track of my overflowing books-to-read this year, it's fun to share around the web with friends, check it out if you haven't tried it yet! It's kind of like a virtual nightstand. I'm also hoping to clean up and update my sidebars on the blog throughout the month.
I'm not doing any extensive planning right now as I'm pretty well set for our learning for the remainder of the year, but I sure am enjoying the many resolution, planning and organizing posts around the blogsphere! Although I am still working on keeping at least two weeks ahead on my menu plans and grocery shopping so we're well fed and getting the nourishment we need to keep us on track healthwise!
I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone's New Year shapes up and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all my faithful blog readers and commentors as Sweetness and Light heads into it's third year!! YOU ARE SO APPRECIATED, THANK YOU! Without you there would be no Sweetness and Light!!

Meredith, it all sounds wonderful--except for the part about you not blogging as often. I'll just have to savor what you share that much more fully, I guess! :)

The "Good Reads" tip is terrific, although I admit I got quite the jolt when I saw the name, "Meredith" pop up! Congrats on your first book. May you be spared the post-partum book blues! It's a very weird phenomenon.

I am so delighted that you are writing a book. I know we will all be happy to read about the details.
I think it is wonderful that you are content with the course of your life and don't need any new goals. To celebrate each child's birthday is certainly a blessing.

Oh my goodness... a book? That is so EXCITING!!! Congratulations! At the risk of "flaunting my ignorance," did you mention that you were writing a book before, and I just completely missed it? Will you give us any more details? please please?
You mentioned GOODREADS before, but I didn't get a chance to look at it right then, and then it slipped my mind.... I'll go check it out...
