We've had a lovely week in our very snowy neck of the woods. I'm looking out at the latest measurements and it's about 3 or so feet of snow, eegadd!! For a little perspective, I took a picture of Sean-Paul in front of our living room window that looks out onto the patio so you could see amount, he's exactly 36 inches! That hump behind his head to the left is my redwood barrel planter completely submerged :))
Here's a few highlights of our learning and fun this week:
Enjoying snowy picture book read alouds and pastels for Art work!
And here's what we did last year for the Feast of St. Brigid, and we're doing it again today!!
Life's Little Joys for this week:
- New Knitting Books from the library to peruse all week and weekend
- A Steamy Loaf of Spiced Gatehouse Tea Bread baked by Violet from The Redwall Cookbook
- Preparing for Candlemas Day and the 12th Anniversary of my paternal grandmother's death
- Writing time on my book
- Lots of skiing for my skiers
- Reading and Knitting
- Hot Cooked Oatmeal with Maple Syrup, Walnuts and Raisins for breakfast
I wish you a joy-filled, blessed weekend with much rest and love to you and your families!

Three feet of snow!!! Oh, that reminds me of when I was little, we used to get tons of snow, it seemed to me!
We're getting some snow today, but nothing as exciting as all that.
As always, your home looks so warm, lovely and inviting. Thanks for the peek inside! :)
Warmly,
Eileen

Ooooh! How I would love to look out my window and see a snowy scene like yours! One day, I hope! For now, as long as we remain in Texas anyway, I will just have to live vicariously through you! :) Keep them coming!

Good thing you have that beautiful picture of your family outside amongst the grass and greenery at the top...or we might think you are in Antarctica (well I guess the evergreens give it away a bit too)! How cool is that picture...I don't want to show my dc, they'll be too envious!

The tea bread sounds lovely. I'm in need of a new tea bread recipe for our tea time. I'll be giving that one a try!

Wow! We thought we had a nice snowfall yesterday, but it sure isn't what you ended up having. Just look at your window! Wow, although it looks very lovely to see all that bright and cheery white stuff, three feet is a bit more than I'd like to have here. smile Have fun!

Oh my goodness! My kids wouldn't know what to do with themselves if they ever saw that much snow!
