We love to decorate our fireplace mantle for Mary in May. We were also blessed to be able to attend Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima earlier this week and the gospel reading included Mary's beautiful Magnificat!
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God my Savior
for he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
the Almighty has done great things for me,
and holy is his Name
He has mercy on those who fear him
in every generation
He has shown the strength of his arm
he has scattered the proud in their conceit.
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
and has lifted up the lowly
He has filled the hungry with good things,
and the rich he has sent away empty
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
for he has remembered his promise of mercy,
the promise he made to our fathers,
to Abraham and his children for ever.
Here is our mantle. (Sorry about the glare, probably didn't need the flash!) Those were my Mother's Day roses from all my sweeties, perfect for Our Heavenly Mother.
Here's a close up of our delightful flower garlands we fashioned after seeing these inspiring ones featured at The Crafty Crow.
They were really fun and easy to make and if you remember when we worked so hard on our watercolors, this is what they were for :)
Hope your weekend is wonderful, enjoy this great Spring wherever you are! Many blessings!

How lovely!
Please consider offering your rosaries( scandal at Notre Dame) see my blog for details. Thank you!
