Sean-Paul was invited to his very first friend birthday party this past weekend.
He's been to lots of other birthday parties, family parties, family friend's parties, etc, but this was his very first "his-friend-only" invite! Needless to say, he was very excited...
For our last-born, this was quite a right of passage for our tousle-headed boy. Oh, to have seen such joy and keep it for always...Funny how birthday parties can do this for a person, especially when you're four.

Such sweet wrapping paper. We have those dot paints so next time we have a present to wrap I'm goin to try it. The last time we used them Silas decided to dab inside his ear. Wow, it was difficult to clean off. ;)
What a wonderful format to share your list of 1000 gifts!
I'm working on a list of books that are good for birthday presents for six year old girls. I would love to expand the list in time.
BTW, your 4 x 10 sidebar list is wonderful.

I like the wrapping paper, too. I've been eyeing those dot paints at Michael's, and now I have another reason to put them on the craft wish list =)
I like your 1000 gifts ... It's so important to remember how even the little things are true blessings.

So cute! I remember when my middle daughter got her first "my friend only" invite ... we have a similarly proud picture. :)
